Mission Statement

| We aim to provide meaningful reading material for use
in the bathroom -- printed on toilet paper -- especially in public
restrooms where other reading material is usually not available. |
Prior to the invention of toilet paper
in 1857, other items were used for the delicate mission. Newspapers and
catalogues are the most memorable. That might explain where the
tradition of reading in the bathroom started. Now, we come full circle,
and we purposely print meaningful text on your toilet paper. No longer
do you need to bring reading material with you. We integrate it into
that essential component of the bathroom: toilet paper.

One size fits all.
Brief History of How We Came to Be
Spurred by a "Close
to Home" cartoon by John McPherson on May 14, 2002, Sterling
Allan commenced this silly and yet practical project. His wife came up
with the idea for the name: Novel TP.
After some preliminary research, we saw that printing text on toilet paper is
a virtually untouched venue. The nearest competition (who are actually
likely to be partners) are some companies that print repeating images on TP.
Printing text is limited right now because the printer can only run 16 inches
then repeat the text. High-volume printing can allow for 27 inches.
For now, we plan to begin producing 16 and 27-inch segments of condensed
reading material of interest.
Later, we plan to invest in the development of a printing process that can
print lengthy texts on Toilet Paper. Regular books would not be economical
to publish in this format. But some books lend themselves to this format,
such as the Darwin Awards and
Inspiring Quotes.
